2001 Range Rover P38 4.6 Vogue Automatic. Will listen to sensible offers.
Available for sale due to upgrade to newer Range Rover we have available our December 2001 4.6 Range Rover Vogue in Oslo Blue. The car was bought in Gibraltar on the. 1st December 2001 and registered under the plate of BH1.(This plate is owned by the famous boxer Bernard Hopkins) The service book we have clearly shows the plate on the car at registration and the Dealer Stamp A. Capurro & Sons Ltd Gibraltar. We are unsure if this was Bernard Hopkins car but the plate now sits on a Rolls Royce owned by himself. The car was then serviced by Guy Salmon Land Rover in Leeds for the first 4 years of its life. The car is in the attractive Oslo Blue with contrasting Beige Leather interior with a walnut half covered steering wheel and the extra wood pack fitted. It also has the rare Gold interior handles and lock button surrounds fitted as per pictures. The interior is in very good condition and has recently had a new headlining fitted by Blackbrook Auto Trims in Somerset who are renown for their High Quality Replacement Headlining. The car also has original Land Rover Carpet Mats fitted. The original stereo has been removed and an aftermarket stereo fitted.
The car has a Sat Nav system fitted but the system seems to not work although the screen display works. Maybe a hard drive fault in the boot, but we have never looked into it. The engine is the popular Thor 4.6 Engine that has no overheating issues and has been looked after regardless of costs.
It has 5 matching alloys and the tyres are all good. The car had an MOT on the 26th January 2019 and passed with NO ADVISORY items at all. In 2018 it had a reconditioned Front Diff, 2nd Hand Transfer Box, Upper and Lower Ball Joints, Gearbox Service, prop shaft UJ's replaced and the air suspension removed and replaced with a full standard spring conversion with Terrafirma Shocks fitted to it. The car had a brand new centre box and new tailpipes fitted prior to its MOT a few days ago.
The pipework & Height Sensors for the suspension is still in place so would be easy to convert back to Air, however the drive is lovely and unless you have the need for Air I would leave it as it is. The car has been owned by my wife and previous to this a close friend. As you can see I run a Land Rover spares business and I've known this car personally since 2014. This car has never gone without and has been serviced and looked after all its life.
I would literally jump in this car and drive it to Scotland tomorrow as its so reliable and nice to drive. The reason for sale is my wife decided she wanted a L322 Range Rover. We now have 4 Range Rovers in the family so unfortunately this one has to go. These P38a Range Rovers are fast becoming a collectors car now like the Classic has and if we had the room I would keep her. I have the master remote key and 3 spares for her along with the original service book and hand books in the leather folder.
I'm in no rush to sell her so I wont be giving her away I'm afraid... And I want her to go to someone that will look after her as she deserves it. If I suddenly stumble across a barn to store her in, I will keep her as nice condition Range Rover P38's are becoming hard to find and this one ticks all them boxes.I won't entertain time wasters or tyre kickers as I know this car is in great condition and has wanted for nothing. Collection and full cleared balance within 5 days unless otherwise agreed by myself. The item "2001 Range Rover P38a 4.6 Vogue Automatic.
