2002 LAND ROVER RANGEROVER VOGUE AUTO LPG CONVERTED RARE SPEC EXCEPTIONAL P38. For sale is my lovely 2002 Range Rover Vogue P38. I have had P38s prior to this vehicle but wanted to get an LPGd one with a certain colour combination and trim. This one did not disappoint.

This particular Range Rover is finished in Bonatti Grey, with Lightstone interior and contrasting Red Carpets and matching piping, complemented by the rare 18 inch comet wheels. To find another with this combination is difficult, to find another with this colour scheme and this well looked after would be nearly impossible. The car has 11 Services, it has had the following work done to it of note. All new rear calipers and ABS Pump Accumulator 117k. 4 Recent General Grabber AT Tyres.

New Bosch Air Flow Meter 119k 05/15. Stainless exhaust system fitted to give enhanced tone without boy racer loudness 03/2016. 4 New Boge Shocks Fitted 06/2016. Full EAS Valve Block Rebuild 2016.

Full EAS Pump Rebuild 2016. Both rear EAS airbags replaced with Dunlop units 2016. In addition to the above, the gentleman that had the Range Rover before me who was an aeronautical engineer did a complete top end strip down on the engine to replace a burnt out Valve in one of the heads. The heads themselves had new stronger valves and seats put into them and they were gas flowed before refitting.

The gentleman also replaced every LPG component on the vehicle as the original system had been fitted since 2006 at 33k and had got worn out causing the issue with the valve. Since all the new components were fitted it has been taken to a professional LPG installer by myself in 2016 and given the once over with a full service and they remarked upon what a good system it was and how well it had been fitted. Unfortunately the chap was poor at keeping receipts however, it is obvious when you look under the bonnet that all the components are new and the heads have been refurbished.

I have done over 10,000 miles since the head work and it has run perfectly as would be expected. The vehicle has had both diffs and transfer box fluid changed at 119,880 11/15 along with a full engine oil service including air filters, plugs and leads as mentioned above. It has again had a full oil change with air filter at 125,686 10/16. As anyone looking at one of these knows they can have a few niggling issues, none of these are present on this P38, as detailed below. Eas Air Suspension Works Perfectly, never sags no matter how long its left and goes up and down with ease.

All HVAC blend motors work correctly, never displaying the check book symbol and the aircon is ice cold. LPG system works exactly as it should and performs as well as petrol switching to and from with no issue. Hi/Lo Range works without issue.

Additional to all of the above, there have been some modifications made that I think to be essential to any P38, these are. Manual Air Suspension Override Valves - Under the bonnet, next to the EAS pump there are manual override valves fitted to the vehicle which means that in the event of the EAS system detecting a hard fault and slamming to the bump stops that these vehicles can do, you can pull into any motorway services and reinflate the airbags manually using the Schraeder (Tyre) Valves under the bonnet and continue your journey in comfort without riding on the bump stops. I have never had it happen to me with this vehicle but fitted them just in case. Independently temperature controlled electric fan override- These P38s as anyone who is looking at them is aware do not enjoy excessive heat in the engine bay.

From factory the cars left with a mechanical viscous fan for the engine cooling and 2 electric front mounted fans for the A/C cooling. The issue is, if towing or on a hot day in traffic, the viscous can be a little feeble to drag enough cooling air through the radiator. To assist with this, there is an external thermostat strapped to the top hose coming out of the block, connected to an adjustable thermostat which overrides the electric cooling fans and turns them on to assist when sat in traffic on a hot day or towing a trailer. Now again, this is something that has not seen much use since I have had the car, but I did use it to tow a friends trailer and adjusted the thermostat down to assist the cooling and it is nice to know the option is there to keep the car cool and prevent any issues arising. So often a problem with these cars has been replaced.

In fact not just replaced it has been reupholstered in suede. Including the sunroof and all 8 door pillars. This is a sight to behold and really makes this car that bit more than the usual P38.

Its the same suede and underlay used in Lamborghinis so you can imagine. Its still in the factory lemon colour so looks discreet but superbly finished.

An appreciating asset and one that really is rare. Rare because its a fully functioning p38 but also rare in spec and upgrades. Please no silly offers and I don't want a px. I know the gas flowed heads are not receipted, but if you have owned a Rover V8 range rover this one is quicker. A lot quicker, more responsive and with the new exhaust system a totally different car.

I have owned 5 range rovers. 4.6s 4s and a 4.2 classic. This is a whole other car. It makes it a pleasure to drive and cruise in as well as overtaking less of risky business.

I need a decent camera to really take a pic of the headlining so that will follow. The second pic looks like the mirror is flat grey. Its fully colour coded but the sun reflected of it.
