2001 Range Rover Vogue P38 4.6 Thor Petrol/LPG. I have owned the P38 for just over 2 years and bought as my weekend toy and for my wife to use to commute locally. It was used for around 5 months this way and I then took it off the road to sort the niggles and to perform some preventative maintenance. I replaced the alternator, pully tensioner, water pump, thermostat, viscous fan coupling, LPG filters, Vaporiser gasket, flushed the coolant, replaced plugs and leads, replaced coil packs, fixed the HVAC screen, re-stuck the headlining & changed engine oil and filter.

A new battery has been fitted recently. Vehicle is currently SORN and has no mot so will need collecting on a trailer etc. She fires up 1st hit of the key, and will drive without fault. This was in use daily until just over a year ago and gave us no issues. I have been out today to give her a wash and with little effort has cleaned up a dream.

The engine has no major leaks and hold fluids. The bodywork is in very good condition for the age having just one small rust spot on the O/S rear wheel arch. The interior is very tidy and the rare knapf cream leather is in good condition with just slight wear on drivers door card (elbow area) and on the drivers arm rest.

The red carpets are lush and very clean and it also comes with a full set of RR mats in the same red. The headlining like many must have sagged at some point and has been re-stuck in a DIY fashion, it is not immediately noticeable but wouldn't pass a concourse competition! The car ran well on LPG making it much cheaper to run day to day, however I noticed the diaphragm on the vaporiser was leaking a little coolant so disconnected it from the cooling system, replaced the diaphragm but never reconnected the water to the cooling system so this has to be considered untested. I see no reason why it wouldn't work. It currently has no LPG in the tank.

If you have never driven one of these the V8 rumble is addictive and really wafts along taking corners surprisingly well for a car of its size. The auto box is smooth and kicks down with no lag when required. The cabin is very quiet and spacious with a commanding view all around. It has many cup holders in the centre console and also in the rear fold down arm rests. All lights, fogs etc are fully working.

Both front heated seats work and the heaters and de-mist all work on all settings and speeds. The AC is cold but not ice cold, not a problem in the UK though. It has the Harmon Kardon sound system which sounds ace and has the CD multichanger fitted. It seems to have a short somewhere as it can be intermittent. The Sat Nav screen lights up and works but as the maps are out of date I disconnected it as I found it distracting at night.

The front wheels are a little scabby and could do with a refurbish, tyres are good all around and have lots left in them. Owing to the LPG tank in the wheel well there is no spare. Underbody is good with just the usual surface rust, all boots look to be in good shape and no leaks. I think there may be a slight blow from the centre of the exhaust when I fired it up today but that may be me who just hasn't heard her run for a couple of months! So in short a good example RR P38 with decent Vogue spec, runs and drives and was used daily, has sat for a year but has been regularly started and moved, all main usual consumables have been replaced and should run on LPG again with little work. I have set the price in a sensible region, I know how hard it can be to find a good one as I looked and travelled to a few myself before finding this one. For me the rare colours inside and out and general overall condition tipped it for me, she isn't perfect but is very close! Please feel free to come and have a look, she can be started and moved a short distance but not driven on the main road. The discs, pads and tow-bar are NOT included in this sale and will be listed separately or perhaps negotiated on collection if you wish.

Collection needs to be within 3 days of listing ending. DO NOT TURN UP TO HAGGLE the price on screen is the price to pay. Cash on collection only, no cheques or Pay Pal. Please feel free to ask questions, I have a walk around video I could send if required.
