I have owned this car for just under two years. When I bought it, it had a split radiator which was caused by the water pump having failed. I replaced the pump, A/c compressor (new genuine), radiator (euro car parts), viscose fan hub and soon had it running. When I bought it, it had stood for around four years and so, the brakes and tyres were also replaced for the mot.

Unfortunately, whilst it was standing the back seat was ingested by person or persons unknown and so it was replaced with one that does not match the rest of the interior. The head lining is not saging but has been stapled up and needs to be replaced although it has not been an issue for me.

As soon as I started to use the car as I needed which was for recovery work with an "A" frame (for which it is excellent), I found that the radiator becomes over pressurised, (BMW heads, they are prone to cracking above the inserts between the valves) so I bought a replacement head and all that is needed for fitting it. However, as I drive quite carefully, I drove to Birmingham and towed an X type Jaguar back without any water loss in fact the car has been used fairly regularly and I still have not fitted the head which will be supplied with the car. There are two spare wheels, one in the boot and another separately all of which are in good condition. Apart from the damage to the rear corner (pictured) the body panels are very good.

The near side lower swivel joint has play but has passed two mots as it is but new ones are also included. Although, a new compressor was fitted, there is a slight leak from the joint between the pipe and the condenser which takes about two weeks to stop the A/c from working and just today, I noticed that the belt is shredded as the tensioner has died. The gearbox, transfer box, brakes and axles are spot on and it is a lovely drive. Everything else works and it is ready to be driven away. Sadly, I have decided to sell the car because I will have to leave my workshop at the end of this month and as in nearly two years, I have not got around to sorting it, I very much doubt that I ever will this car has the makings of a nice one still and I will look favourably on the right person who can give it the time and care that I have not.
