Range Rover P38 Diesel Engine BMW M51

  

Range Rover P38 Diesel BMW M51 Engine 178,000 miles. This engine is the aluminium inlet manifold pre EGR so is suitable for vehicles pre 1999.

A lot of work has been completed to this engine due to worn timing chain, it runs, have a video to prove it was running when removed. It is currently sitting in my garden under a tarpaulin so needs to go to a new home. The Fuel Injection Pump has been removed to be used in my other P38, I will install an old seized pump to keep the sprocket in place.

New Timing chain, tensioners, tensioner bolts and sprockets changed (see attached invoice from Advanced Motor Factors). New Water Pump, Belt Tensioner.

See attached invoice from Advanced Motor Factors. New Sump gasket and various gaskets (see invoices). 2nd hand cylinder head (I paid cash for this as my original head had cracked). Slight oil seep leak coming from diptstick O-ring, I didn't have time to replace it, had to remove the dip stick to change the sump gasket.

Wear and tear could do with a clean up. Possible new rocker cover gasket needed even though been changed, I think I damaged it on one corner. Oil Cooler pipes need to be changed as one of them had to be cut from oil cooler rad as rad was leaking oil.

What Engine Comes With (as per photos). Wiring Loom including glow plug relay. I have the alternator, starter motor and steering pump if needed which I can provide loose at an additional price. I have a engine hoist so I can assist with lifting/loading in vehicle. Collection only from Crawley, West Sussex.
